2025 is almost here so it’s the perfect time to start thinking about the interior trends for next year. Keeping up with the latest colours and furnishings can mean you stay ahead of the curve and end up with a home envied by family and friends. This time, we’re focusing on the bedroom and how we can update our sleeping environments for 2025 using trending paint shades, décor, and bedroom furniture. Here’s how to introduce next year's biggest bedroom trends into your home.
Character-Filled Walls
For the last number of years, interior experts - including us, have been preaching about neutrals, biophilic design, and minimalism in home design. Originally, blank white walls were embraced fully as they produced a clean and almost luxurious aesthetic. Unsurprisingly though, we grew bored with white and moved onto darker neutrals with off-whites, almond, and cocoa-brown shades taking centre stage. While we still adore this interior look, it’s all set to change in 2025, Next year, we want more character from our bedroom decor which means turning to the dark side – somewhat. Deeper, character-filled shades such as burgundy, royal blue, deep violet, and truffle brown are all set to be popular in 2025. Still, we’re super aware that it can be daunting going from neutrals to bolds suddenly. If you’d rather ease yourself into it, try wall art in the bold tones on our list. Invest in a statement 70s wallpaper that also includes the trending colours listed above, go wild with a quirky curtain choice, or if you’re into upcycling why not try your hand at upholstering a bedroom chair in a strong old-world pattern? If you plan on introducing an antique design to your bedroom décor using curtains or wallpaper, remember to contrast that with a plain bed frame or chest of drawers as two strong patterns next to one another can come across as overwhelming to the eye.
