EZ Living Furniture was founded in 1998 by the Dilleen brothers from the West of Ireland, driven by a shared desire to make quality furniture accessible to everyone in Ireland. Starting with just one shop in Galway, our unwavering commitment to quality and value quickly set us apart from competitors. Word spread fast, and our reputation grew, attracting customers from near and far who sought out well-crafted furniture and home essentials. Today, EZ Living Furniture is proudly recognised as Ireland’s largest furniture retailer, with 22 stores nationwide and counting. We also have an award-winning online presence and an extensive catalogue offering everything from stylish living room sofas to elegant dining tables, comfortable mattresses, practical home accessories, and seasonal items such as garden furniture and Christmas décor.
Our Journey - Key Milestones:
- 1998: Founded in Galway.
- 2005: Expanded to Castlebar, Mayo – our second store.
- 2012: Launched in the East with our Airside location in Dublin.
- 2013: Website goes live.
- 2016: Ventured into the Midwest and launched our first Outlet store, while opening a second warehouse that increased storage capacity and truck fleet for faster deliveries.
- 2021: Established a store in Derry, Northern Ireland, and launched our UK website.
- 2022: Won Medium Business & National Website of the Year awards.
- 2023: Celebrated 25 years in business.
- 2024: Rolled out a major expansion with several new stores nationwide, including our second Outlet in Ashbourne, and named Large Business Website Runners-Up.
- 2025 & Beyond: Upgraded website now live, new warehouse, more stores, and continued growth on the horizon - watch this space!
Our Success:
Success didn’t come overnight, but from the very beginning, our innovative company differentiated itself by cutting out the middleman and forming direct relationships with manufacturers to ensure the best quality, choice, and value for our customers. This focus on craftsmanship and rigorous testing helped propel the business forward, and our once-small shop in Galway was quickly buzzing with activity.
As demand surged, so did our need to expand. We began exploring opportunities for growth, eventually opening multiple stores and warehouses across the country. One shop quickly turned into two, two became three and so forth. And with a rise in customer demand, we enhanced our logistics operations, including delivery and warehouse teams, facilitating fast furniture delivery to homes. Thanks to our large storage capacities and a sizable fleet of delivery vehicles, most items are kept in stock and available for quick delivery, with only our made-to-order items, customised to meet specific requirements, being the exception. Because of these efforts, and many others, our small family operation soon blossomed into a large workforce who all share the same passion for quality and customer satisfaction as the Dilleens.
