As we head towards the latter half of the year, furniture trendsetters like us - EZ Living Furniture, have already mapped out interior looks to define the upcoming autumn season & more. While some trends carry over from previous years with a fresh new take, others are unexpected and will be brand-new to our homes. In this blog, we list autumnal trends set to shape our interiors for Fall 2025 and most importantly, those that bring that much-needed warmth back into our homes in advance of chilly temperatures.

Gloss Collection at EZ Living Furniture.

1. High-Gloss Finishes

High gloss equals high-end this autumn. Lacquer is stepping into the spotlight in a big way. It’s not just glossy dining tables that are stealing the limelight; in fact, all-gloss finishes are bang on trend. Thankfully, our new gloss collection has just landed and it’s everything you need and more! This range is packed full of geometric and biophilic-style furnishings and accessories, consisting of beautiful eye-catching vases, cute trinkets, and striking versatile side tables. Instead of attention-seeking, bold colours often found combined with glossy finishes, the sleek coating is being paired with subtle pastel shades, amplifying their versatility and encouraging placement in a living room, hallway, dining room, and even a bedroom. The Light Blue Colby is a personal favourite.

2. Stone Statements

For a long time now, the focus has been on easy-to-maintain materials, and this applies to all kinds of furniture. Melamine in particular took centre stage as the go-to finish for those with small children who didn’t want to worry about scrapes and spills. It was also ideal for those who wouldn’t have the time for regular upkeep with an oil or wax. For coffee tables, dining tables, hall tables, and everything in between, many people valued practicality over style – well, that was until now. This autumn, the tide is changing, and we must admit it’s for the better. Instead of Melamine, natural stone is shining through, with marble being a top contender in the interiors race. This is a welcome change for many, because, I mean, who doesn’t love marble? This beautiful, natural, polished stone immediately draws the eye in any room and becomes the focal point and statement piece, even if that wasn’t necessarily the intention. The Pyramid Brass Coffee Table has a glamorous grey marble top and striking brass base, perfect for a contemporary living space. And as one of our newer items in our range, we don’t expect it to hang around long either!

3. Thick 70s-Style Glass

Chunky, hard-to-break glass is back in a big way, maybe because of its durability or perhaps it is because of its high-end appeal. While we may never be able to positively pin down the reason for glass’s comeback, we don’t need to. Glass is something we feel never goes out of fashion. Whether it’s as feature windows in a display cabinet or as the primary material for accessories, glass is durable and stands out in the best way possible. The Kimora Candle Holder above is a striking piece that not only features an autumn 2025 trend but is also a functional accessory for the home, providing much-needed ambience and light when the need arises.

4. Lamps With Paper Shades

When we think of lamps with paper shades, our minds are often consumed by images of Chinese Lanterns and those rice paper shades that everyone seemed to have in their rental at one point in their lives. But no, instead of taking a step back in interior design, this style has evolved. Forget dust-collecting paper shades, we’re looking to linen lamp shades with contrasting metal bases. This autumn, the focus lies firmly with a warming aesthetic and what better way to include this than including materials which visually will automatically heat up your interior. The Rodrigo Black Floor Lamp above is the perfect example of what you should aim to include in your home this upcoming season. The unique criss-cross pattern on the shade is what will immediately draw you in, and because of its contemporary colours, it will lend itself to other seasons and continue to look good and remain on trend for years to come.

5. Rich Toned Wood

For many years now, reclaimed wood has been at the centre of everyone’s attention. Whether they were looking for a fabulous dining table or a stylish bed frame, it was reclaimed wood they turned to for enhanced sustainability and visual appeal in their homes. And while we still love investing in things that are made from repurposed materials, it’s rich-toned wood that’s seeing a resurgence in popularity. Think spicy walnut tones and dark cashew wood; these are the go-to this autumn. Thankfully, we have lots to choose from, particularly when it comes to sofas. Many of our newest sofa ranges feature beautiful walnut legs complementing the sofa’s design and upholstery. The Genoa 3-Seater, pictured above, is upholstered in a petrol blue luxurious velvet and complemented by rich-toned walnut legs. So, if you’re looking for a beautiful sofa that’s bang on trend – this could be the perfect pick for you!

Now that you’ve chosen the items to take you into the autumn season and beyond, it’s time to start looking into those exciting seasonal items – and no, it’s never too early to start shopping for Christmas trees and decorations.
