If you’re not already familiar with our Do’s & Don’ts blogs, let us familiarise you with them. For some time now, EZ Living Furniture has been creating this blog series, a series in which we look back at our most popular reels from the previous month (as voted by our viewers on social media) and we share them right here without our readers for those who are off the grid socially. In this month’s edition, you’ll learn how to style a breakfast nook, decorate like an interior designer, and accessorise underneath your tree. Click the play button below to view the full reel or read our tips below!
Styling A Breakfast Nook
Create a cosy and enticing breakfast nook with these essential items of furniture.
1. Decide on a corner in your kitchen that’s small enough to feel cosy, but large enough to facilitate a corner bench.
2. Use a large rug to outline a space for your breakfast nook within an open-plan dining/kitchen space.
3. Once a zone has been defined, position your furniture on top. Here we have used the Stanford Corner Bench, Grafton Grey Wooden Dining Table and Bench on top of the rug.
4. Finally, use wall art on the wall above your table to frame it.
5. Finish with some cushions to create a comforting and welcoming area.
Three Things I Do As An Interior Designer
1. Make sure to fill your walls with wall art, mirrors, and shelving.
2. Group your accessories together. Remember to mix colours, heights, and textures to create a real statement.
3. Use a variety of lighting including floor lamps, table lamps, and ambient lighting such as LED candles.
Styling Underneath Your Christmas Tree
1. Use figurines in varying heights to add interest to the bottom of your Christmas tree. Here, we have used two Santa figurines.
2. Next to the figurines, place a few presents in complementary wrapping paper colours. If you are lacking in presents this year, find a few empty boxes and wrap these - this is an easy and cost-effective way to give the illusion that you have lots of actual presents and no one will be any the wiser.
We hope you found these tips above to be useful - especially in the lead-up to Christmas. Stay tuned for our Do’s & Don’ts December 2024 edition, which is coming soon!
