EZ Home Hacks: Masking Tape Edition

1. If you have a blank canvas and want to physically visualise items in your space, before physically moving them into it or even purchasing it, use this tip.

2. Using your floor plans, measure out your space, and entranceways, and note where all electrical, plumbing, and windows/doorways are situated, and how you would like to optimise them.

3. Gather the measurements of all your favourite pieces and jot them down on your phone or a notepad.

4. To decide where we want to place our furniture, we can create a visual representation of what that would look and feel like using masking tape and my recorded measurements gathered earlier. Then use the masking tape to measure out the length and the width of all of my chosen pieces on the floor.

5. Take this opportunity to move through the space imagining what it would feel like to pass between items of furniture. If it feels like it's difficult to move freely you may need to consider another option. For example a rounded corner or maybe opt for multifunctional furniture to add other space-saving options.
