EZ Living Furniture’s Do’s & Don’ts recap blog is back again! Every month, we pick the most popular reels (as chosen by you) from our social media channels and share them with you right here on our blog. This time, EZ Living Furniture has selected 4 reels from September 2022 that will help renters and homeowners decorate their homes to an exceptional standard. In this edition, you will learn if you should use a rug in your living space, the type of footstool you should choose, how to style a small traditional console table, and how to decorate a small living area. Check out each reel below by clicking on the play symbol on each video or alternatively, you can read the tips below each clip.
Should You Use A Rug In Your Living Space?
1. A coffee table will look out of place if the accessories you use do not link together.
2. By placing a tray underneath, our eyes will now perceive it as a part of an entire collection.
3. With this same concept in mind, a rug will help to link a coffee table, sofa, armchairs, and whatever else is placed on the rug in your living room.
Styling Made EZ: Choosing Your Footstool
1. Try and pick a footstool based on your needs and the colour scheme in the room.
2. If extra storage and hidden storage space is something you value the most, then maybe our Leroy Footstool is the one for you.
3. Our Scott Footstool has something special though, the top can be lifted off to reveal a tray which is extremely useful for those late-night cups of tea.
Do's & Don'ts: Styling A Small, Traditional Console Table
1. Avoid choosing accessories that don’t fit the proportions of your console table and that are too overpowering.
2. Instead, opt for smaller pieces that complement your console table and create visual balance.
3. Continue with the traditional style by using traditional-looking lamps, picture frames, and vases.
4. Again, don’t overpower your console with too many pieces.
5. Less is more - It’s just that EZ!
Decorate Your Small Living Area
1. Opt for a bright colour scheme of soft tones including soft whites, blues, and greens. Brighter rooms feel bigger and more inviting.
2. Choose multifunctional and slimline furniture. Avoid chunky sofas, and coffee tables, that will overpower your living room.
3. Use mirrors to your advantage. These reflect natural light creating the illusion of a bigger space.
