Here at EZ Living Furniture our pets are a part of the family so naturally we let them roam around the house, sleep on the couch and some of us even let them sleep in the bed with us! As it is Spring cleaning season what better time to bring you our top tips for cleaning up your home after your pet.
Tip 1: Dealing With Dog Hair
Brush your pet’s coat regularly to remove excess hair which should minimise the amount of hair that molts from them, especially in summer. Similarly, vacuuming weekly is essential if you are a pet owner. But sometimes we just don’t have the time to do it as much as we should. The Magic Coat Hair Remover helps us in the battle against pet hair.
This is a soft and porous sponge which is durable and easy to reuse. It is very effective and convenient at removing pet hair from your furniture. It is a must-have accessory for any pet owner. It is quick and easy to clean, simply wash with soap and water then leave to dry. Also, the Magic Coat Hair Remover can be used to remove dust and lint from any surface, such as TV and computer screens.
Tip 2: Stains And Odours
For those marks and stains that just won't budge Four Paws Industrial Super Strength Stain & Odour Remover has been formulated to remove pet stains on carpets and rugs and eliminate the odours that attract dogs and puppies to the previously soiled areas. It will prevent the rotting of fibres in carpets and if applied in time colour will be restored.
Similarly, Mr Muscle Oxy Action Pickup Pads are super absorbent pickup pads that are capable of soaking up to one litre of urine with just one pad! Perfect if you have a new puppy or kitten that is still being toilet trained. Mr Muscle Oxy Action Pickup Pads release oxy powder which penetrates deep into your carpets surface to remove even the toughest stains. You simply turn the pad over onto the stain and blot, leave the pad on the stain for 3 to 5 minutes, remove the pad and then vacuum!
Pet messes such as urine and vomit can happen from time to time and unfortunately can leave stains and smells. You can use Four Paws Wee-Wee Advanced Stain & Odour Remover on carpets, floors, tile, upholstery, linens, pet bedding and other hard-to-get-out messes.
Tip 3: Stop It At The Door!
If your pet has been outside playing, ensure you have a mat at the door and use an old towel to wipe excess water or mud from them before they come inside. There's nothing worse than muddy paws on the sofa!
Whether or not you allow your dog on the furniture, all dogs should visit the vet every 6-12 months for an overall wellness check-up. There is very little threat from a dog that has been vaccinated, is kept free of fleas, and is regularly checked and/or treated for parasites. You can minimize the germs and debris your dog brings in the house by wiping the paws, spot-cleaning as needed, and routine grooming.
