The modern spring mattress core is made up of steel coil springs. The core of the mattress supports the sleeper’s body. This is the tranditional build and still the choice for many EZ Living customers looking for a good value mattress.
POCKET SPRING MATTRESS
Pocket Springs are pre-compressed, individually encased coils. This enables each spring to adjust independently of the others to perfectly support your body in any sleeping position.
FOAM MATTRESS
Originally designed to relieve the pressure experienced by astronauts during lift-off, foam mattresses have become a popular choice that provides a comfortable hypo-allergenic sleeping surface that is also mold/mildew resistant.
STEP 2 OF 3 :MATTRESS FIRMNESS
The firmness of your mattress is very important and should be selected to suit your body type. As a general rule the heavier you are the firmer your mattress should be. However, your sleeping position also has an impact. I.e. if you sleep on your side it should allow for the shape of your body in that position.
STEP 3 OF 3 :MATTRESS CONSIDERATION
MATTRESS TESTING
You can't beat going into the EZ Living store and testing the mattress yourself. Wear comfortable clothing, as you’ll be getting in and out of the beds when trying the various options.
We don't mind you spending a few minutes on each mattress type to get the best idea of what you like, you can also use a pillow to best simulate your style of sleeping.
LOW ALLERGY MATTRESSES
Certain brands of mattresses have low allergy properties, are resistant to dust mites, and are recommended for a healthy night’s sleep. Most foam mattresses already have low allergy properties, however, all mattresses can be fitted with covers to improve their preformance in this area.
SLEEPING POSITIONS
When you sleep on your side you might need a mattress that is less firm due to the fact that you need to keep your spine straight. When the mattress is less firm it will allow for the curves of the body conture at the pressure points.
If you sleep on your back then you need support around the neck and lower back. If this is the case you need a slightly firmer mattress to ensure that your body doesn't sink into the bed at these points.
